New Brow Collection by Zoeva!

Zoeva is one of those wonderful brands that I think tends to get overlooked in the beauty industry. First of all, they do amazing brushes, but we all know this right? What I think we all forget is that their makeup is pretty darn good too. From eyeshadows to blush they seem to nail it every time. They now have also released their brand spanking, new brow collection and boy is it good. The range contains a very visually appealing brow palette with a whopping nine shades, along with the brow highlight, pencil, and gel that I have been trying out. I have been giving all three a good go for a couple of weeks now so I thought it was about time I shared my thoughts with you.

The Graphic Brows pencil comes in four very realistic shades that blend seamlessly into the brows but still give you that definition you're after. I use the shade Cinerous, and considering how dark my brows are, I was shocked to see this was the second lightest shade, so there is certainly some room for improvement in the shade department. The shade itself isn't too warm which I like and it is also a tad lighter than my natural brow shade which helps keep my very dark brows from looking artificial. The nib on the pencil is thin enough so you can add detail but not so thin that it takes years to get your brows down. The brush on the other end of the pencil is also a nice addition and helps blend the colour in with your natural brow hairs. Brow pencils like this one are two a penny these days but I must say there is something about Zoeva's addition that is rather great and at only £7.50 it not only a bargain but it's better than most you would pick up at boot's for a similar price.

The Graphic Brow Fix is a long lasting gel that is lightly tinted to groom and shape your brows. The applicator wand is pretty tiny and perfect for getting a defined brow without the effort of using a pencil, powder or pomade. They come in three shades, I personally wear Arsenic, which is a cool darkish taupe. I love the shade and couldn't pick a better one for my brows. The gel formula itself is smooth and easy to apply without feeling too wet on the brows. I also really like that as it dries down it doesn't go crunchy and hard, which means you can layer it for fuller and darker brows. It's as simple as brush through and done, and who doesn't want brows that easy?

Lastly, we have the Brow Light which is the perfect brow bone and inner corner highlight. There seems to only be the single shade right now, which is Margarethe, a pearly pink shade. It comes in chubby stick form and I am a huge fan of the applicator and formula of the highlight itself. The formula is creamy and blendable but sets down so it is completely waterproof. The finish has a nice matte but pearlescent effect, leaving the brows looking lifted and eyes brighter. I love the finish and formula so much that I have found myself using it as a highlight just about everywhere from my cheekbones to cupids bow. It's a new personal holy grail for me and could give Benefits High Brow a run for its money any day of the week.

So there you have it, my thoughts on Zoeva's new brow picks. All very good indeed, and I can't help asking myself whats next to come from this genius brand? Maybe foundations? Who knows. Love...

Origins Original Skin Serum

I am a bit of a floozy when it comes to serum. I am forever chopping and changing and although I have my favourites I don't tend to stick to one for more than a few weeks. I am a huge fan of Origins skincare so when they kindly sent over their cult classic, the Orginal Skin Renewal Serum, I was very excited to give it a good go. I am rather proud to say that I have stayed loyal to him for about three weeks now and I really love the formula.

The serum is set to give your skin back it's natural glow as well as fixing a plethora of other skin concerns you may have. The key ingredient is Willowherb, which has soothing and antioxidant effects, and that is what really gives you back that glow I speak of. The formula also contains Persian Silk Tree to help your skin bounce back from everyday stressors, Chestnut Seed Extract to refine texture, and Algae to help reduce the size of pores and keep sebum at bay.  As a dry skin sufferer, I wasn't sure it would be hydrating enough for me, but paired with a good hydrating moisturiser I have found that it does everything it says on the tin (or bottle). Within a few day of using it, I noticed my skin looked much brighter and healthier, with a nice glow to it. Now after a few weeks of wear, my skin is a lot clearer, brighter, and smoother. I have found my foundation and bases are applying well and my skin just seems to be the best possible version of itself. I also love the packaging, I mean please who doesn't love that shade of pink and with it being plastic it's so easy to travel with over my big, heavy, glass jar serums. My final thought on this serum is that it will pretty much work for anyone, and that's why I think it's so great. Whether you have dry skin like me or you are more on the oily side of things, this basic but by no means bland serum has you covered. Love...

Current Beauty Favourites

Monthly Favourites have seriously been lacking around these parts so I thought it was about time I let you in on my current beauty favourites. I have gone back to some old favourites and have a few new picks that I have fallen for.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette- It is the 'it' palette of the moment and I absolutely love it. I wasn't sure about the shade range to begin with, as it is a little more colourful than I usually go for. The shadows are so pigmented and buttery which makes them dream to blend. I love them so much that I think ABH shadows are my new favourite.

Chanel Vitamlumiere Aqua Foundation- This is an old favourite of mine and recently I have been using it most days. The thin texture gives just the perfect everyday coverage with a light weight feel. The finish isn't too glowy or matte, somewhere just right in the middle. Plus B10 is my perfect winter shade.

Eve Lom Daily Protection SPF 50- Sun protection is still really important in the winter time and recently I have been trying out the daily protection from Eve Lom. The texture is thin enough to easily massage into the skin but also isn't too chalky and powdery. It also sits well under makeup, which is honestly quite tricky to find.

Lune & Aster Moonrise Glow Contour Palette- This is a total dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow Palette, and if you are fair like me then it could even be a little better. The bronzer is on the sheerer side which is what makes it so great for the winter months and the highlight isn't too gold.

Becca Backlight Priming Filter- This has been a favourite of mine since it was released but as usual it got buried in my over zealous makeup drawer. During a deep clean I found it again and since reusing it I have fallen back in love. When my skin is on the drier side this adds the dose of glow and get up it needs. Sallow skin? Goodbye.

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector- With winter your lips get a bit of a beating from the cold, because of this I have been leaving lipstick of the makeup menu and have been going with a good balm or gloss. The Natural Lip Perfectors are a true favourite of mine and the natural shade of #7 is absolutely perfect for everyday.

So what have you been loving lately? Love...
